I know everyone remembers this scenario:
It’s Sunday night. Late.
You’ve got homework to do. You either forgot about it til right now or you put it off. Either way, it has to be done. And chances are you even need a special supply. Poster board, a certain text book left behind at school, maybe even a specific clothing ensemble. You are tired, annoyed, and just plain don’t want to do it.
Well, it’s Sunday night here and I am just now composing the post for the thirty day blog challenge I’m participating in. And here comes that old, familiar feeling. Looming over my head.
Does this ever happen in your business life? Putting things off until the last minute? Making yourself hurry to meet a deadline?
Sometimes that’s OK. Sometimes we function better closer to the deadlines and sometimes flying by the seat of our pants works.
However, don’t make a habit of it because it never works all the time. It gets in the way of true creativity. A rush job on anything is never as good as a well-thought-out plan.
Even though this post wasn’t planned or even organized very well, I think you still get the picture. Plan ahead. It makes life a little easier!
