Remember your first time?
Oh my, did you think I was going to blog about sex?
Not gonna happen!
Maybe riding a bike?
Yesterday I had another milestone.
The UPS truck delivered my “official” copy of my new book, Be Social Be Rich.
Don’t worry. This post is not about plugging my book.
It’s about “firsts”.
For anyone with an online biz, you already know this. There are SO many “firsts”! So much knowledge to learn and things to do and, in the beginning, such unfamiliar territory. Can I get an Amen?
Remember some of these?
- Your first website
- Your first blog post
- Your first e-mail to your list
- The first person ON your list
- Your first promotional tweet
- Your first product
- Your first attempt at marketing your first product
- Your first attempt at marketing an affiliate product
And my favorite. . . . . . .
- Your first dollar online!
Isn’t that the best feeling? When you know without a doubt you can have an online biz that is profitable?
Stay with that feeling for a moment.
Now, take a look at all the “firsts” you have encountered. Many of them you probably breezed through.
That first blog post? I thought: (1) Will anybody read it? (2) What IF they read it? (3) OMG, somebody is reading it!
My business has marched in a natural progression based on my passion and skills. Yours will too.
At every junction, I have those fearful thoughts. You might too.
But, here’s the take-away for today:
I kept marching.
I kept moving.
I kept expanding and going where the passion led.
I started with a few words on a blog.
It morphed into creating info products that sold and that morphed into a business.
It’s still expanding!
I wrote a book. It’s being published. It will help many people. My business grows again!
Now, back to that bike riding. That “first” wasn’t easy. These online biz “firsts” weren’t either. But I kept on going.
Your buz will morph it’s own way. However it’s supposed to, based on your own skills and passions. But here’s the catch: When you fall off that bike, you have to keep getting up. When you haven’t done something before, it looms bigger than life.
It’s not bigger than life. It IS your life!
Now, go out there and grow your biz. In the process, you’ll grow your self!
