Do you think of yourself as creative?
If you are operating an online business, the answer better be yes!
The components that make up an online business such as blogging, social media, e-mailing, and (of course) product creation all require some type of creativity.
Wait. Not me!
I know. So many people associate the very word creative with the fine arts and certainly your online biz is anything BUT the fine arts!
Being creative simply means being original and imaginative. Putting something out there where there once was nothing. If you’re writing blog posts, you’re definitely having to come up with fresh content and ideas. If you’re creating digital products or writing books, chances are you’re using the old imagination. Right?
Here’s the cool thing about creativity.
It spells freedom.
At least in the world of online marketers. Once you have tasted the success of completing a product to put out in the marketplace or have a unique blog up-and-running, or have your first book listed on Amazon, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Yes, many marketers are making a good living with affiliate marketing and I also use that technique. It can be very lucrative. But creating your own product or designing your own site seems to do something for your very soul.
You know, the only products worth creating are the ones that solve problems, right? Well, the feeling you get from solving other people’s problems is like no other. Why? Because in helping them, you have also helped yourself. In providing a solution, you have essentially made your customer’s world a better place!
Changing the world?
Think of it this way: Every blog post you write, every audio you produce, every social media update you post, every video you create is all an extension of your creativity. Be unique. Be authentic. And yes, change the world!
