Do you celebrate the milestones in your online business? You know the ones. The ones we guage with numbers.
As much as I dislike numbers, sometimes that’s the only way we have of knowing if we are really moving forward. For example, you definitely pay attention to your rising or falling profits. Right?
But what other numbers do you follow?
How about your social media followers? Are your Twitter friends going up? Are you increasing your LinkedIn recommendations? How about your site? I know I check my Google Analytics every week to be sure my page viewings are going up.
Why, why, why?
Well, keeping your eye on certain numbers will ensure success on the bottom line numbers. Some of the ones to look at are:
- How many people are picking up your free offer each month
- How many people are reading your e-mails
- How many people are subscribing to your newsletter
These are just a handful of numbers you might like to keep up with.
In my case, because numbers tend to bore me, I make a game of it. I celebrate any milestones that come my way. That way, it keeps everything fun and light!
Today I am celebrating 300 people on my Facebook Fan Page. It hasn’t been up that long but 300 is a nice round number and I’m clickin’ my heels! (Click Martha’s Fan Page )
You see, I’ve found that celebrating these nice round numbers brings even more numbers. I’m grateful for all the people who like what I do, gain value from it, and stick around! That’s the part that makes the numbers fun for me!
How about you?
Any milestone numbers going on? I have to tell you, my first milestone celebration was when I got my first blog follower! Yes, the first one! At that point, I knew there was at least one person in the universe that I resonated with and it spurred me to continue. (To follow my blog, look on the right sidebar and click “follow this blog”)
Today, I’m also celebrating you! The fact that you took the time to come here and read my bog means so much to me. We are connected and I like that!
