We all know that good habits and routines produce better than average results. Right?
How about rest? Do you put rest into that routine?
Nightly rest goes without saying, but how about a weekly break? I believe it makes all the difference! Not only for keeping you balanced in your work routine, but for keeping you healthy and sane!
What do you think?
There’s just something to be said about taking the necessary time away from your computer, office, spread sheets, reports, etc. A chance to unwind and step back is really essential for our growth.
Once a week?
I’m a walking, talking example that one day a week of rest makes a difference. In my case, I choose Sunday because of my spiritual beliefs and practices, not to mention I cultivated this habit way back in childhood and have learned to trust its importance.
I’ve learned that taking a day to refuel is critical to my overall success. So, this post is short and sweet. In fact, I usually don’t write blog posts on Sunday but am making the exception this month due to my participation in the Ultimate Blog Challenge.
No harm done.
I think I interrupted my rest day by a whole 15 minutes (writing, posting, publishing) by paying attention to my blog. That’s not permission for me to keep working all day though!
Habits. This one is worth your effort.
Think about this: An intelligent person is usually poor or wealthy based on their money habits. Folks can also trace their over or under-weight status to their eating habits. See what I’m talking about now?
Want a habit that has proven to be beneficial to successful business owners that have come before you? Take one day a week for real rest.
Try it, you’ll like it!
