Napoleon Hill shined the light on it. He didn’t start it.
The idea of the mastermind goes back to ancient history. It’s the idea that “two heads are always better than one.”
In his 1937 book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill defines the mastermind as the “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”
I have found that the mastermind can propel your business like nothing else.
The mastermind is more than surrounding yourself with like-minded people. It is meeting intentionally to produce a definite outcome.
Everyone needs a mastermind group. Period.
You will find that it stimulates your thinking to a higher, creative level. You will also find your business moving along at a rapid rate. And the best benefit? The energy! During the mastermind, the creative energy is combined and produces fantastic results. You carry this momentum with you and it moves you forward.
If you are not currently in a mastermind, not to worry. Create one. Look for people within your industry and community. You are not limited to face-to-face meetings either. Your mastermind can exist through conference calls and skype.
I am in two mastermind groups right now. One consists of four people. The other of just two. My best advice: Choose your members wisely. They need to be truly dedicated to what the intention is. Also, everyone in the group needs to receive a benefit.
Masterminds are more than a buzz word. They unlock the door to success.
