You already know that putting yourself “out there” is the name of the game in marketing but do you know where and how? The internet has made it much easier.
There’s a saying that you have to be seen at least seven times before your potential customer even notices you. So, the name of the game is “be everywhere at once.” That’s not as hard as you might think. However, it does require some work on your part!
Great Tips For Getting Your Name Out There:
- Blogging You know that the more you blog, the more people begin to read and follow your blog. Keep at it. It’s well worth the time and effort!
- Social Media Easiest and fastest way to get out there and make some noise. Warning: It’s not going to work by just having an account. You have to actually mingle with others. Tell them where to find you, what you do, how you can help them. Engage! You know the big ones: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.
- Articles These are short, easy and fun. Especially if you are already blogging. Use content you’ve already written about and wham, you’re done! The most notable place to register is Ezine Articles.
Once you start doing those three things consistently, you will begin to stir up a little buzz for yourself. Start to think of ways you can be everywhere at once. Begin to look at all the different avenues! There are opportunities all over the place!
Like to be in a magazine?
Here’s an opportunity that presented itself the other day and I think you’ll have fun with it too. It’s called The Influence Project and it’s sponsored by Fast Company magazine. Basically, they are looking for 2010’s most influential person online. Now, before you say, “that’s not me,” here’s the best part: Just by participating, your picture will be in the November issue of Fast Company!! How cool is that?
Check it out! You’ll get your own link, just like mine (The Influence Project) that you can use to spread the word to all your friends. Yet another way to “be everywhere at once!”
Now, get out there and be seen!
