We’ve all seen it. At least, in the music world.
One hit, one time, by one musician.
There are probably as many reasons or excuses for the phenom as there are one hit wonders. But, my guess is they had nothing substantial to back it up beforehand!
You see, when you put a product into the stream of commerce, most likely, that one product will NOT make enough money on its own to support you. This is something you need to know on the front end. When creating products, you need to think ahead and have the next one ready to go. And the one after that too. (at least have it on the drawing board)
That’s how fortunes are made!
Most businesses, online and off, that are really profitable are not offering their customers one item. No way, hosea. They have several items being offered and new ones coming down the pipe. It’s just common sense. You want repeat business.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that one e-book is not going to bring you enough income to quit your day job. Or two e-books. Or three.
Now, don’t get discouraged. Just think things through. You need plenty of complimentary products to offer your customers. The good news is you don’t have to come up with all the products in one day, but you do need to be prepared on the front end.
You don’t want to be a “one hit wonder.” You want to have a string of hits (yes, it’s OK to have a few misses too!). You want to be the Rockstar in your niche! There’s only one way. Plan your strategy. Plan for a line of products. And then, plan on superstardom!
