Do you know the language? Yes, like every business, this one has it’s own.
Quick story: I got my first lesson at lunch the first day of my first internet marketing seminar. I went to lunch with a nice looking group of people who were seated around me. They were friendly, already had internet businesses or were in the process of creating one. I thought we were going to have a nice chatty lunch, get to know a little about one another, and maybe share where we were on the internet marketing food chain.
Yes, we did get to know each other a little, but as they began exchanging ideas, low and behold, the language they were using! They might as well just stepped out of their space ship!
You know, I thought the conversation might center around whether to use a Mac or a PC, maybe talk about time management. No, it was much more complicated and much more, well. . . could it BE any more confusing?
I heard words that were really foreign to me. I mean it. Words like autoresponder, optin, aweber, wordpress, hostgator. . . . . ALL Greek to me!
That, my friends, is the beginning.
Learning the lingo.
That’s what I know you need starting out. If you are really newer-than-new and want to jump in this lake, you have to familiarize yourself with what the heck people are talking about. Other people. Doing what you want to do.
So, that’s what I have for you today. Your Lingo List ! Just click on the link and you’ve got it. It’s free. Just good old definitions of the vocabulary you need to operate in this business.
Your Lingo List gives you a head start. You don’t have to learn them all today, or remember what they all mean yet. But, you will at least have a Resource at your fingertips.
Hope this helps!
Keep moving forward. . . .
