Maybe because it’s Sunday. . . . . .
You’ve all heard it. Probably grew up learning it. The Golden Rule.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
If you only apply one rule to your business, this one will serve you well.
Everybody knows to treat their customers with kindness and they will return. But, there’s many more relationships involved in growing your biz and keeping it running full force. And those contacts deserve to have the Golden Rule applied too.
Got a product to promote? Before asking others to promote for you, how about promoting one of theirs first?
Want comments and recommendations on your blog? How about taking the time and effort to search out other great sites and do the same?
Looking for a joint venture partner? How about coming to the table with most of the work already done?
You see, applying the Golden Rule is not a passive act. You have to be pro-active. The first word is “do.” That’s an action word!
Now, I’m not preaching here. I leave that to others. I am simply pointing out that if you have some sort of ethical rule for yourself that applies to your business, your life will be much more enjoyable and your biz more profitable!
