Excellence vs. Perfection

by Martha Giffen

How many of you have unfinished products sitting around?

Or unfinished websites?  Or unfinished ANYTHING?

My guess is they might not be unfinished.  They just might be ready to go.  Or maybe they lack that last bit of polish.  In your opinion.

My guess is also that your product, website, blog, sales page or whatever it is, looks pretty darn good already.  Could this be true?

Are you wanting to sell products?  Are you wanting to add profits to your biz?  Then, stop striving for perfection!

Now, I don’t mean putting your name on something that is totally substandard.  But, I’m saying, take another look.  If your content is excellent and you’ve done the best you can for now, get it out there!  Stop waiting for it to be “perfect.”

Excellence is what you strive for.  Good work.  Good content.  Not perfection.

Nobody’s perfect.  No product is perfect (although I do think my own come pretty close! LOL)  One of my mentors recently said that a perfect product siting on the shelves is not as good as an imperfect product in the marketplace.

So, strive for excellence.  You already have that going for you!

Go now and get that excellence out there.  Let other people’s “perfect” products stay right where they are.  Nowhere.
