Crushing It!

PinExt Crushing It!

Everybody’s talking about it but too few are doing it.

Crushing it, that is.  Gary Vaynerchuk has made this term a household word since the release of his book, Crush It.

What does it mean?

Well, “crushing it” simply means to dominate a market.  To rise to the top of your field.  To take your business to the stratosphere.

But here’s where it gets interesing. . . .

It takes work. Yep, W.O.R.K.  Surprised?

As much as I love the internet lifestyle and what it offers, the bottom line is this:  there IS work to be done.  There is absolutely no way, no how,  to have a successful business online or off without doing the work!

There seems to be a misconception out there that if you have an internet business you are just sitting around on a beautiful island somewhere drinking something cool and refreshing with a little, colorful umbrella sticking out  while your business operates on autopilot.  Oh, if that were true!

Get Real!

The owners are not sitting around relaxing every day.  Yes, they have more time than most to play but why is that?  Because they paid their dues.  By, you guessed it, working!

Are there plenty of owners enjoying a heavy dose of leisure time?  Of course!  Do they outsource a good bit of the work load?  They do.  But make no mistake, during their working hours, they are busy beavers!

Crushing It!

The key is to make the work you have to do be the work you love to do.  That way, every day does bring joy and happiness and a sense of fulfillment.  In the end, that’s what crushing it will bring you!

If you are in a niche you are passionate about, you know what I’m talking about.  If you’re not, well, move on.  It’s that simple.  Do not spend your days doing work that you’re not passionate about.  It makes for a miserable life!

Now, go.  Find your passion.  Work your passion.  And start crushing it!

Peace,

-Martha

p.s.  And don’t forget to read Gary’s book.  It’s powerful!

There’s no question in my mind, Martha …

You are definitely Crushing It!

I think the point you’ve made here is one that should stick in the forefront of everyone’s mind. It should be a Top Priority. If you’re not passionate about what you’re doing … stop doing it! Yes, it takes a lot of work to be successful in anything in life, relationships included. But if you awaken every day to dreading what you’ll be devoting your time working on, what’s the point in getting out of bed?

You rock!

Hey Martha,
The best part is when you said “… make the work you have to do be the work you love to do.” I’m going to copy and paste that into a word doc, enlarge it and post it over my desk. Wisdom to blog by.
Thanks.

When you get into online marketing, you realize how deep the business goes. I can’t imagine how anyone would expect not to do the work… that is unless you have several VA’s. I think you really get to a point when you need assistance to be really successful. But it still means work… whether you do it or your 10 VA’s do it.

I have a code that I go by for affluence attainment. The first step is “Hard Work”.
I do find it easier to work when I am working at something I love to do.
Great post!
