Some words are just better than others!
Yes, you will find that copywriting is the key to selling your products. Copywriting is the process of composing the written words on the page. That would be the pages of your sales letters or ads. (Note: Not to be confused with copyrighting, which has to do with legalities)
You’ve all read them. Sales pages with such compelling copy that you were wishing the “buy it now” button would hurry up and make itself known.
That’s what it’s all about! You will know rather quickly if you are cut out to do this. Otherwise, it will be one of the first items you outsource. It’s just that simple. Without great copywriting, your products won’t sell.
Now, I’m not saying you can’t learn it. I’ve been dabbling in it myself. And have had small successes.
I continue to keep learning and trying because I actually enjoy it.
It’s all about the words. For example, I could tell you about a new audio that relieves stress. Or I could say, “From the moment I put on the headphones, I was transported to a quiet place in time where all discomforts were melted away, making my life more serene and pleasant by the minute.”
Which audio would you be more likely to purchase?
Your sales pages have to “pop.” Would you rather buy a new widget or would you be more interested in the widget that will give you a “secret” ingredient, make your bank account swell, and give you the lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of?
It’s an art.
But you are going to use videos you say. OK, somebody still has to write the copy for the words coming from the sales video.
Educate yourself and tinker with it. Read books on copywriting and search the web.
After all, you do want the recipe for writing mouth-watering copy that will make your reader hungry for your products!
